  49.                      so the configuration had changed a little.  I've
  50.                      included CONVERT.EXE to convert the configuration from
  51.                      version 1.6 to 2.0ß. The bank is currently in a mess,
  52.                      so the code wasn't included in this release. This is
  53.                      not what you registered users pay for, it'll just be a
  54.                      bonus item to thank you for your support.  If you need
  55.                      a banking system, please don't wait for this.  I'm
  56.                      currently busy seeking employment, so I don't know when
  57.                      I'll be able to finish this.

  59.                    + I lost the code for version v1.6 in a hard drive
  60.                      accident, so If something is missing or doesn't work
  61.                      the same as v1.6 please let me know. I couldn't
  62.                      remember all the "Maintenance" items in v1.6, so I'd
  63.                      appreciate anything you discovered.

  66. 16-Aug-1991 - 1.6 - More cosmetic detailing, Maintenance, Support BBS.

  68.                   - I've recently aquired a support BBS. The BBS is The
  69.                     GRAFIX Connection (416) 286-8734/etc - 287-9002/HST.
  70.                     Drop by anytime you want.  The latest version is always
  71.                     available as a free download, even on your first call.

  73.                   - Added a display file "EXEMPT" for display to those with
  74.                     ratios not enforced.  Please insert new file location in
  75.                     configuration file.  MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS STEP BEFORE
  76.                     RUNNING FRESM!!!

  78.                   - Added a program manager for PCBFRE called FRESM.  FRESM
  79.                     shouldn't be a problem to use.  Except for the start-up
  80.                     command line, the program is menu driven.

  82.                   - Users who have not downloaded anything will be shown the
  83.                     normal "PCBFRE.DP" file instead of being told that
  84.                     they've exceeded their ratio.

  86.                   - The "FILES" display file will now be shown to to users
  87.                     exceeded their bytes ratio. The old method was to subtly
  88.                     display the "PCBFRE.DP" file with negative download
  89.                     bytes.  (Fixed again because it was being displayed
  90.                     twice)

  92.                   - Added support for "positive ratio" system (ie: must
  93.                     upload more than download), ratio value can now be set
  94.                     lower than 1.

  96.                   - Replaced the "Can't calculate ratio" messages with the

  106.                     to code up a new one. I couldn't remember my old formula
  107.                     so had to start from scratch. New registration numbers
  108.                     will be issued to all registered users on file as of
  109.                     June 25th, 1991.

  112.                     "post/calls" ratio if not being enforced.

  121.                     still being enforced, when it wasn't configured to.

  123.                   - Speed up search for security levels by a fraction
  124.                     of a sec if you have a lot of levels to enforce.

  126.                   - Displays a message if the user's level was not found
  127.                     in PCBFRE's configuration.

  129.                   - A reminder that the display files 'PCBFRE.DP, FILES,
  130.                     MSGS' may be customized to your liking. If you don't
  131.                     want them displayed, then delete them.

  133.                   - Minor additions to documentation regarding pick-up and
  134.                     non-cash registrations. If you have Mother Board, EMS
  135.                     Card, IO Card, IO devices, RAM, SCSI drives, 16-bit
  136.                     Controllers/Adaptors, any other hardware that may be of
  137.                     use to me -- I'll trade several registrations for them.
